Mr Bowden is a highly experienced consultant recognised by all the major insurance companies, including Bupa and AXA PPP.  If you have any problems obtaining authorisation for consultation or treatment please contact his office and his secretary Mrs Mandy O'Sullivan will pleased to help in any way she can. 

Unfortunately there may be occasions when a patient's insurance company does not cover the full fee.  This may be due the level of cover under a particular policy.  Over many years the level of reimbursement provided by insurance companies to their patients (the benefit amount) has stayed the same or has been reduced.  At the same time the cost of professional indemnity required for spinal surgeons has continued to increase as have the costs of providing services.  Mr Bowden has not increased his fees for many years and in order to continue to provide a premium service for patients with back problems, the fees charged have to reflect the associated costs of providing excellent care.
